Housewarming Party

El Hajjish

Just a heads-up, but we'd like to have you all out to chill at our new place at some time this summer - Perhaps the Canada Day long weekend?

Let me know what works for you guys, but activities could range from wine tours to local hikes to an MK extravaganza. Sitting outside on the deck with lemonade is also a viable option.

Nice!! Sounds awesome. How did your painting go? When do you move in?

El Hajjish

The weekend of painting of the house went extremely well. We got the bedroom, office/spare bedroom, and living room fully painted (trim to come) and we've got one more coat of paint for for the kitchen to go. We had loads of help - Jenn's parents, Jason and my parents!

Also, we got some serious yardwork done, the biggest accomplishment being my dad taking a 10 ft high cedar hedge wall down to 3 ft.

Everything's looking great. Both of us are thrilled.

Okay, we're in. We're going to rent a car and drive up with the Graymeister.

We're thinking we'll come up Friday the 27th and head out Tuesday the 1st. How does that work for you?

El Hajjish

Sweeeeet!

cacaye

Okay, the car is booked. We're actually going to leave Saturday morning (picking up the car at 10 downtown), and we're returning it Tuesday evening.

Woot!

Is there anything you'd like us to bring, other than whatever games you lent us that we're done with?

El Hajjish

Any board games you might want to play would be good. Other than that, there's not much I can think of...

cacaye

Shall I bring Wii Fit, or will you have it by then?

It's fantastic, btw.

El Hajjish

Yeah, we've got it. I really like it but I need to play it more. Also, my push-ups rarely register... it's kind of frustrating. I am also overwieght.

cacaye

I find the push-ups to be so hard. I like to blame it all on the tendinitis in my right wrist, but I know I'm also just really weak in those muscles.

The Wii Fit push-ups are much harder than regular push-ups though. I wonder if it's simply the 2 inch height difference?

El Hajjish

For me, the push-ups are hard because to keep my hands on the board, they have to be much closer together than when I normally no push-ups. Also, my upper body strength is total ass.

cacaye

I actually find it much easier to grip the sides of the board rather than have them flat on top. It doesn't seem to affect how it perceives my push-ups, either. I think this position changes which muscles you use (?), but oh-well! :)
