Nutmeg Logs
Ingredients
- 1c butter or margarine, softened
- 2t vanilla
- 1t brandy
- 3/4c sugar
- 1 egg
- 3c flour
- 1-1/2t nutmeg
- 1/4t salt
Icing
- 1/3c butter (75.5g)
- 1t vanilla
- 1t brandy
- 2c icing sugar
- 2T eggnog
Directions
- Cream butter with flavourings. Gradually beat in sugar, and then blend in egg.
- Mix together flour, nutmeg and salt. Add to butter mixture and mix well.
- Divide into 14 equal portions.
- On sugared board, shape each piece in a roll 12" long and 1/2" in diametre. Cut in 2" lengths and put on greased cookie sheets.
- Bake in preheated 350 oven for 12 minutes. Cool on racks.
Icing
- Cream butter with flavourings. Blend in sugar and eggnog.
- Beat until smooth and creamy.
