Hommus
Ingredients
Basic Hommus:
- 1 can chick peas, drained
- 1/4c tahini (toasted sesame butter)
- (at least) 2T lemon juice (to taste)
- (at least) 2 cloves garlic
- 2T olive oil, or to desired consistency
Caitlin's Hommus:
- all above ingredients
- 1 large yellow onion, sauteed
- 1 bulb garlic, roasted 1 hour
- half of 1 red pepper, coursely chopped
- 1/2c fresh basil
- 3T soy sauce, or to taste
- dash toasted sesame oil
Directions
- Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency.
- Note: If mixture is too thick, add water 1T at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
