Apple Pie Filling
Ingredients
- 5-6c apples, thinly sliced (about 5 apples)
- 1/2 to 2/3c sugar (depending on tartness of apples)
- 1/8t salt
- 1 to 1-1/2T cornstarch (depending on juiciness of apples)
- dash each of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves
Directions
- Combine all incredients above and toss with apples.
- Pour into pie plate.
- Dot filling with 2T margerine before placing on top pastry.
